Apology

Hello,

I just read very beautiful quote on my friends status message. It reads 'Apologizing does not always mean that you are wrong and the other person is right. It just means that you value your relationship more than your ego.'

I went into deep thought on reading this. I am a very stubborn person and does not like to accept a mistake. Apologising is probably the most difficult thing i can ever do. But that does not mean I value my relationships any less but yes i have a ego. If i really do feel its my mistake i choose not to talk. In fact I choose not to speak up in most cases. If people who claim to know me cannot understand my silence, i bet they will not understand what i say!!!!!

In that case even if i do apologise, they take my apology as mere words which ultimately renders it meaningless. Thus, i set myself on finding a more apt qoute and voila got my mouse on this one, which puts in words exactly my feelings.

"It is a good rule in life never to apologize. The right sort of people do not want apologies, and the wrong sort take a mean advantage of them." ~P.G. Wodehouse, The Man Upstairs

There have been so many times when my friends did not want any apology or understood that i regretted my actions and then there have been so many who took advantage of my altered ego. i dont want the latter in my life.

As i am qualified lawyer, i have studied all these years during my law studies that intention and motive matters. I feel everyone must consider these when forgiving or asking an apology!!!!

Bye for now will get back tomorrow.
